Big Kid Beds

We were hoping to hold off until they turned three but recently at bedtime they have started to climb up on part of their cribs and were finally starting to get the idea that they could "possibly" get in that way. Before they completely figured it out and figured that would mean they could get out too, we decided to convert their cribs into the toddler day beds.
I had the cutest car set picked out for Parker and flower set picked out for Sydney but I made mention of the other sets they had, robots and the cat/dogs. The kids knew exactly what they wanted. Anyway it turned out great!

They were SO excited to crawl up into their own beds:

Yes I am a little crazy. After they were asleep, I snuck in a took a pic of them actually sleeping thier beds.

Don't Bite your Friends

The other day Parker grabbed and made sure I was looking him in the eye. He proceeded to tell me, "Don't bite your friends, Mommy."

Funny seeing as he is the one likes to bite his sister every now and again.

Hmmmmmmm.

No more thumbsucking

Ok so Parker was a thumb sucker the moment he could find his thumb. He got it honestly, Patrick was a thumb sucker for many years.

Well on Christmas day, (with Patrick's urging)Uncle Troy told Parker that he better stop sucking his thumb or it wsa going to fall of like his. Uncle Troy then showed Parker his "missing" thumb(not really, but it looked like it).

For the rest of the day, you could see Parker's wheels turning. He must of REALLY thought about it because he hasn't sucked his thumb since!!!

Sydney and her letters

Here are some short clips of Sydney showing off her letters.

Christmas 2009

This was the best Christmas yet with the kids! They just couldn't get enough of Christmas. In fact when we were putting everything away today, Parker said, "I'm gonna be REAL sad." Poor little man.

Here are some pics from Christmas weekend. Sometimes it's hard to snap pictures when we are all busy having fun.

This is from Christmas Eve with Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt.

Desiree, Sadie, Grandpa and Sydney.

Christmas morning at our house. Santa came!!

Playing with Parker's blocks from Santa. Think he might be more of a believer now.
Sydney and Papa.

The day after Christmas, we went to Celebration to look at Christmas lights and see the snow. The snow was really just soap suds.

Watching the "ice" skating. The sad part....its not even ice, it's some kind of plastic. WHAT??!!
