Four Tiny Hands
We waited to do them until we could record the babies first steps.
Can't believe that time has come already.
Anyway..here are some pictures of their stepping stones and a cute poem I found.
I can't take credit for it, but thought I would share it with you.

"Four Tiny Hands"
by Christine Scott
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twenty fingers and twenty toes
Two pair of eyes and a set of cute little noses
Two hearts beating in unison
form this double bouquet of mother's roses.
Two hungry babies
Two piercing screams
Two perfect little answers
To all of our dreams.
Double the bottles
Double the toys
Double the diapers
And double the joys.
Four little legs to follow along
Four little feet to fill Daddy's shoes
Four little hands to hold in our own
Four little eyes to watch our every move.
Two little people to nurture and grow
Two little minds with their own will.
Two heads locked in love and battle
our very own little Jack and Jill.
A set of worried parents
try to fulfill the every demand
Of two little souls
and four tiny hands.
Mother's Day at the Zoo
Well, our initial plan for Mother's Day was to meet up with our friend Erica, Erica's mom, and Erica's daughter Bryce in St. Augustine for the day. Well, those plans fell through when Erica's mom and Bryce came down with a horrible bug. Yuck!
Anyway, Plan B was a trip to the Brevard Zoo. Just a little over a month ago, we went to the Sanford Zoo. We figured since that went so well, we would venture to a different zoo. We heard the Brevard Zoo was a nicer zoo and were excited about the "Feed the Giraffe" experience. The kids read about giraffes so we thought it would be neat for them to see the real animal. So we loaded everyone up(myself, Patrick, my mom, Parker and Sydney)and went to the zoo. We saw lots of birds, bats, rhinos, kangaroos, and emus. We were disappointed to find out the giraffes had decided not to come out and visit so we never did see the giraffes. We took the train ride hoping it would take us on a tour of the zoo and another chance to see the giraffes, but no giraffes. It was still a great time. Just being together. It was such a different experience because Parker was actually walking down the boardwalk.
I have added two videos to this post.
The first one is one I just couldn't resist. It is the last one where I will make you endure the neck cramp. It is so cute. Parker toddling down the boardwalk at the zoo wearing his first pair of "real" tennis shoes. He always has to stop to pick up leaves along his journey.
This one is actually the right way. This is Sydney before the train ride. I just wanted to share what a drama queen she is. If you ask, "Sydney, are you OK?" She will respond with a fake cough. Listen carefully. She also likes to fake burps these days. Hysterical!
Sydney walking
Can you believe it??? Sydney is walking!
We thought we would have a chance to get used to Parker walking and ease into Sydney walking but last week all of a sudden she decided she wanted to walk too. She just couldn't stand seeing her brother getting around on two instead of four. She caught up very quickly and can even get to a standing position in the middle of the room. For those of you who do not know...that is a pretty big feat! She is so excited to be walking and really looks forward to the cheers she receives.
Alright folks...get ready to turn your monitor 90 degrees.
Yes, I am sorry I forgot to turn the camera again when I took some video.
I am sorry, but give me a break...I am a mom to 13 month old twins. There is one more like this and then I promise no more. In fact...I will try to get some video of both of them and shoot it the right way.
